Late Thursday afternoon Dec.30,2010 : WGHP 8.2 in High Point,NC began airing previews for Antenna TV. The new channel will launch at 12:00 A.M. on Jan. 1, 2011 with a Three Stooges marathon.The regular schedule begins on Monday January 3, 2011.

Antenna TV - WGHP TV 8.2

On January 1, 2011, Antenna TV is set to launch nationally and will debut locally on WGHP's sub - channel 8.2 which you can receive with an over the air antenna. At this point I don't know if Time Warner or other cable / satellite providers will add it or not. Antenna TV will have classic tv shows, cartoons and movies.Two shows that I am particularly interested in seeing again are Wild Bill Hickok and Circus Boy.You can check out the schedule for Antenna TV by clicking the link.

One of the many things I always liked about WGHP was that the station was big on showing movies.Lots of movies.What Frank Deal did on this show,as the host, was basically what we see Robert Osborne do today on Turner Classic Movies.I loved the humor and trivia that Frank Deal presented on this show.
