During the sixties,Santa Claus would be featured on the Old Rebel's show and Marco the Polar Bear would be Santa's helper. This photo of the Old Rebel and Marco was shot during the 1966 Christmas parade in Lexington,NC. I wish I had found this photo before Christmas but better late than never I guess.

Hooray for the Old Rebel! I watched every weekday at 5:00. I remember Marco as "such a silly bear" on the Christmas shows. I am curious who dressed up as Santa. If it was George Perry (AKA The Old Rebel) then he did a nice job of disguising his voice.
