Lawman

Lawman starred John Russell as Marshal Dan Troop and Peter Brown as Deputy Johnny McKay. I got to meet Peter Brown at Tweetsie Railroad up in Boone,NC one summer during the sixties. I believe it was 1967. This ad is from September 1964.

I too met Peter Brown at Tweetsie. I had his autograph until I lost the purse I had it in. I was only 10 or 11 at the time if it was indeed 1967. My first and last autograph lost. Shame. I wonder how many other movie stars, besides Fred Kirby, made appearances at Tweetsie over the years. We were there most summers as my grandfather had come from Blowing Rock and built a summer/retirement home there. Now my child and grandchildren along with my siblings and their offspring own the home and all enjoy going to Tweetsie still to this day! Glad to have found someone else who remembers Peter Brown being there!

Tweetsie sent me the link to this blog. I was trying to ID the Actor and the year of photo I have. I thought it was 1968, but probably 1967. Photo is my sister & I with who we now believe is Peter Brown at Tweetsie. - As a historian I'm glad to be able to figure out who this is. - THANKS - Nollie - Glascock Stove Historian / Collector

Did some more research, searching old newspapers. It was Summer of 1968, that Peter Brown worked for Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock. Per May 26, 1968 Greensboro Daily News.
